We would like to update all members and attendees that, following the ongoing challenges as a result of the COVID-19 omicron variant, the IBS board held an emergency meeting on Monday 20th December to discuss our 10th Biennial Conference – Vancouver 2022 hybrid meeting that was scheduled to take place in January 2022.
After taking into consideration many factors including attendee safety, travel and quarantine concerns and restrictions, omicron spread, and ability for attendees to recoup travel costs, we have made the decision to postpone the conference to June 2nd-6th, 2022. The hybrid design of the conference will remain the same, with the hope that the in-person component of the conference will be possible at that time.
Members and Attendees: Please check your email for the official announcement and outline for what the change in date means for attendee abstracts and registration, along with refund procedures.
Thank you for your understanding in these challenging times – we hope the new conference date both alleviates concerns, while allowing us to get together in the near future to connect.
