The International Biogeography Society will hold its 6th International Conference from 9th to 13th January, 2013, in Miami, Florida (USA).  Essential details about the conference—how to register, the symposia, fieldtrips, plus more—and about the surrounding area are available via the links below. Other events include: open discussions between graduate students and symposia speakers (concurrent with lunch and not conflicting with poster sessions) and an open discussion on growing the IBS in regions currently under-represented in the society.

The hosts for the 2013 IBS meeting are the Florida International University Department of Biological Sciences (casgroup.fiu.edu/Biology) and the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (www.fairchildgarden.org).

The main conference venue is Koven's Conference Center at Florida International University (kovens.fiu.edu) located on the Biscayne Bay Campus of FIU. For more information, see bbc.fiu.edu
