Abstracts must be submitted for all presentations: invited talks, contributed papers, and posters. There will be 250 available openings for posters and between 17 and 33 openings for contributed talks. Please register early as availability is limited.

Those who wish to present posters at the IBS meeting should submit an abstract (you must be a member of IBS and be registered for the meeting to submit an abstract). Abstracts for Posters will be accepted on a 'first come first served' basis.

In addition, IBS is pleased to announce that, for the first time, we will have 1/2 day of concurrent sessions of contributed papers. If you are interested in having your poster abstract considered for the contributed paper sessions please indicate this in the appropriate box on the abstract submission form. The program will accommodate only 30 slots for contributed papers so a committee has been set up to select the abstracts to be included in the contributed paper sessions and they will give some preference to early submissions so that the program of contributed papers can be made available on the web site as soon as reasonably possible. All abstracts under consideration for the contributed papers sessions will automatically have a poster slot reserved for them unless they indicate otherwise.

Abstracts for symposia speakers, posters, and contributed talks should be each of no more than 250 words, inclusive of title, name, affiliation, etc.

The Abstract deadline is 30 November 2008 for invited speakers, posters, and contributed papers.
